Due to COVID-19, the program has been postponed until further notice however staff remains busy preparing our building for a reopening by sanitizing and coming up with new CDC approved practices that would allow both children and staff to safely return.
Although we are facing difficult times and adjusting to our new normal of social distancing, staff from the Prevention & Intervention Program, continue to keep in touch with our children and their families. They have been making phone calls to each family to check on the status of our children. Last month, the children were surprised by staff with curbside visits to deliver care packages and to show them how much we miss them! By the smiles on their faces, we think they miss us too!
On the 4th of July, the students were mailed fun patriotic activity pages to complete at home. Each week, the Juvenile Justice Department is monitoring our local pandemic situation to derive a game plan for a safe return for everyone! We will definitely keep in touch with our families to advise them once we open our doors once again. Please continue to Stay Safe!
